The Power of a Phone Call—Call in Week to Senator Cantwell
March 15-21st is Call in Week to Senator Cantwell on immigration reform.
One of OneAmerica’s base group members likes to say that he is “marching with his fingers” when he makes a phone call to his Senator or President Obama. In the coming weeks we need to treat everyday like a May 1st (or an April 10th!) and to take action using our phones to call on our Senators and President Obama to be leaders on immigration reform.
We know while we increase our organizing and presence toward the March 21st March For America in DC that anti-immigrant groups are ratcheting up their attacks and phone calls. We must match their intensity and numbers, but not their attitude. We have our own message—one about families, the economy, our values, and real workable solution for all Americans.
Please call today and ask Senator Cantwell to be a leader on immigration reform. We need you to march with your fingers more than ever to get a bill in the Senate.
