Stand up for equality and justice.
CAIR-WA is pleased to announce MYLP - Summer 2010, an intense, exciting four-day program in Seattle designed to introduce American Muslim youth to powerful careers where professionals have opportunities to shape public opinion and public policy as a course of their work.
MYLP consists of a one-day workshop followed by three days of site-visits to meet with city, county, state, and national leaders, and high-powered executives of local TV and radio stations, law firms, public relations firms, campaign management firms, non-profit corporations, and charitable foundations.
Improve networking skills. Meet elected officials and executives in media, law, PR, lobbying, etc. Visit their offices, learn about their jobs, career paths they followed, and opportunities for you to enter these fields!
When: Sunday, August 1, 2010 to Wednesday, August 4, 2010.
Day 1: Seattle location and time TBA.
Days 2-4: Meet daily at CAIR-WA office near downtown Seattle at 8:30am. Finish at 6pm. All meals provided. Office address to be given to accepted applicants.
