Rainier Valley Chamber's Heritage Parade and Summer Streets Party
The Rainier Valley Heritage Parade and Summer Streets celebrate life in America’s most diverse zip code—98118. On Saturday, August 21 Rainier Avenue S opening up between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The parade begins at 11 a.m. and lasts about an hour. After that, the streets open up for people to enjoy.
Summer Streets helps people imagine what life could be like if fewer people drove and more people walk, bike, ride transit and shop locally. People can walk, have picnics, practice sports, ride their bikes safely and without the noise of cars.
