WHAT:  OneAmerica is a statewide membership-based organization that focuses on immigration and immigrant rights issues across Washington State. Today we are the largest Immigrant Right's Coalition in Washington State and have over 32 Organizational Members. Organizations meet the third Tuesday of every month at OneAmerica from 4:00-6:00 p.m. for a roundtable discussion to strategize policy and bring our voices together.

WHY: For eight years, OneAmerica has led the convening of a number of different partners interested in immigration issues through informal coalition tables.  Now, we have a more diverse, committed, and proactive coalition that is helping us to better organize in our communities and create a consistent, cohesive voice around important immigrant rights issues. In 2010, we are working hard with partners across the state and the national campaign to promote Comprehensive Immigration Reform. Now it is more urgent than ever that organizations come together in solidarity, determination, and imagination to make change happen!

BENEFITS OF ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBERSHIP:

There are many benefits of being an organizational member of OneAmerica.

Members will:

• Help to prioritize issues for OneAmerica's work at the Annual Membership conference and throughout the year
• Attend monthly coalition meetings and engage in discussion on important immigrant and refugee-related issues and collective organizing and policy strategies
• Lead committees and campaign teams
• Bring perspectives of their particular community to the larger coalition table and hear from other communities on their perspectives
• Participate in meetings with elected officials
• Participate in press conferences and provide stories to the media
• Be eligible to attend monthly take-action and leadership development on public speaking, organizing and speaking to a legislator, among many others
• Participate in member-only discussion boards and chat forums on OneAmerica website
• Receive a quarterly newsletter with updates about immigration laws, policies and news from other member organizations
• Receive timely action alert and policy updates
• Receive discounted registration fees for OneAmerica events and conferences

*Please note:  The coalition table will work to forge broad consensus around policy issues but we will not take positions on policies as a coalition. Rather, we encourage individual organizations to continue to articulate their own positions.  This enables us to maintain flexibility for each of our organizations but, at the same time, coordinate our positions when possible.

Membership Rates and Fees:
$50 - Annual budget of $250,000 or less
$100 - Annual budget of $250,000-$500,000
$200 - Annual budget of $500,000-$1,000,000
$300 - Annual budget of $1,000,000-$5,000,000
$500 - Annual budget of $5,000,000 and up
