Submitted by Teresa Mozur on Mon, 07/27/2009 - 23:48
The Newcomers Resource Project provides free legal assistance for eligible individuals who meet all the following requirements:
- Immigrant, refugee, or limited English speaking, regardless of immigration status (NRP provides interpreters)
- King County residents
- Low-income
NRP's Wage Claim Project assists individuals who are being denied their wages or who have other wage and hour problems with their employers. Eligible clients are referred to a volunteer attorney for assistance. NRP also provides direct representation through referral to a volunteer attorney for a variety of non-immigration civil legal problems, including employment.
