KCOCR's mission is to eliminate unlawful discrimination through education, mediation, and enforcement that is responsive to a diverse King County. OCR implements non-discrimination ordinances, investigates and resolves complaints of discrimination, and provides education, to ensure fair housing and non-discrimination in the rental, sale or financing of housing in unincorporated King County.
Protected classes: race, color, national origin, religion, gender, disability, familial status, martial status, sexual orientation (including gender identity), age, Section 8, ancestry, use of a service or assistive animal.
Those wishing to file a complaint must do so within 365 days of the discrimination incident.
