NJP is a not-for-profit statewide organization that provides free civil legal services to low-income people throughout the state of Washington. As the Legal Services Corporation funded program in the Washington State Alliance for Equal Justice, NJP's mission is to provide high quality free legal services on priority problems to eligible low-income clients, either directly or through effective referrals.
Individuals outside King County can call NJP's Coordinated Legal Education Advice and Referral service (CLEAR) to learn whether they qualify for free assistance regarding a non-criminal legal problem from NJP or a legal services program in their community. Individuals who are 60 or older, regardless of county, can call CLEAR*Sr
