WAESD helps people succeed throughout their working lives by supporting workers during times of unemployment, tracking and analyzing labor market trends, and linking businesses and job seekers to a diverse range of employment services provided by the state's WorkSource system.
To apply for unemployment benefits: If you have been laid off or lost your job through no fault of your own, you may qualify for unemployment insurance benefits. These benefits are a temporary source of income while you look for work - or in limited, approved cases - while you retrain.
