Bills Restricting Driver's Licenses - Every year for more than a decade, the Washington State Legislature has rejected proposals that restrict or eliminate access to driver's licenses for undocumented immigrant taxpayers. Up until now lawmakers have put sound policy above inflammatory politics.
But this year is different. Several restrictive bills were introduced at the beginning of the session and one, Senate Bill 5407, is heading for a vote any day. What can you do about it?

Tell them that you oppose SB5407, because restricting access to driver's licenses will:
- Undermine public safety and drive up insurance premiums for ALL Washington state drivers.
- Cost too much at a time when we're cutting basic services.
- Damage major industries in our state that rely on workers who drive.
- Endanger the livelihoods of working families since many rely on driving for their work.
- Erode trust in the immigrant community and promote fear and discrimination.
