Defend DACA!

DonateWe knew this was coming, but it doesn’t make it any easier. By now you know that the Trump administration has rescinded DACA and put 800,000 young Americans in a terrible position.

We’ve been hard at work preparing for this. Here’s what OneAmerica is doing right now and how you can help:

  • Speaking Out: The same day as the announcement, we held press events and rallies in SeattleYakima and Vancouver where we heard from brave DACA youth and elected leaders like Attorney General Bob Ferguson.
  • Know Your Rights: We are holding community trainings across the state making sure DACA recipients and their families have information they need and can trust in this time of uncertainty.

  • Advocacy: We need a permanent, legislative solution for DACA recipients and all undocumented Americans, and we’re pushing Congress to take action for our families.

  • Immigrant Solidarity: There are rumors that the Trump Administration will hold our communities hostage with a false ‘compromise’ that would re-instate DACA at the expense of a border wall and a beefed-up deportation force. We reject any attempt to pit our communities against one another and demand a solution that leaves no family behind.

  • Organizing: We are working to bring together educators, faith and community leaders, labor  and business leaders to both stand up for DACA youth and to build power in our communities to pass welcoming city and inclusive policing ordinances (“Sanctuary City” policies) on the local, county and state level.

Our work is people-powered and relies on support from people like you - support OneAmerica today with a gift. We need all Americans who reject the cruel policies of this administration to stand with DACA youth and with OneAmerica.

Thank you,
Rich Stolz
